Calculating the true cost of Software Risk

Pre- M&A activity
Organisations in a pre-M&A situation need to understand how to accurately identify their IT asset landscape to ensure they minimise any potential risk exposure. At CTMS we estimate that M&A costs can increase substantially if your level of risk is not accurately quantified at the beginning of the due diligence period. For example, for a company with 2,000 PCs that is not able to substantiate that the appropriate licences are in place, CTMS estimates that the acquiring company could take on a liability of approximately £1.5 million.
