CTMS' first-class business expertise helps the Telegraph Group win top Governance award at the Techworld awards.

Among the three main winners at this year's Techworld awards was The Telegraph Group who won the governance award for implementing a major new system to monitor and manage its software assets every month. Working with CTMS and the Centennial Group, the Telegraph Group were able to keep tabs on more than a 1,000 desktops. As a result of the project, more than £100,000 has been saved on unnecessary software licences.

Maxwell Cooter, Techworld's editor and chairman of the judging panel, said that there had been some excellent projects to choose from but the three very different winners all demonstrated that they had a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve, firm project management skills and an ability to deliver what was required.

"There were projects that used more elaborate and sophisticated technology but the three winners all won because they put together a sound business case and delivered on it."
