visComponents
for Centennial Discovery
Centennial Discovery provides a powerful real-time inventory of active network equipment, PCs and software applications. With the addition of visComponents it is possible to depict the physical location of these active network elements including any passive elements or cabling between them.
All of the visComponents are compatible with the Space Plan solution in Microsoft Visio Professional, enabling the user to utilise some of the advanced features, such as Space and Category Explorers, Color By Value, and item labelling. In addition, Visio contains reporting capabilities that can be used to produce user-definable reports and data extracts.
The first three visComponents modules for Centennial Discovery are visPlan, visRack and visLink. These components visualise the location of network infrastructure devices and their ports, both in plan and elevation view, and the cableways and circuits between them.
